The Lost Valley - Beyond the end of the road - Silver Strand - Killadoon - Louisburgh - Co. Mayo
The majestic peak of Mwelrea (the tallest moutain in Western Ireland) towers behind this beautiful beach with extensive sand dunes and a flat expanse of golden sand.
There is a small car park at this beach (which has blue flag status) but no facilities due to its remote location.

Best 3 hour walk i have done in Ireland. Fantastic experience and Ger our host was extremely entertaining. The story of the Lost Valley of Uggool captures ones imagination and I would definitely recommend a visit.
It is essential to book in advance as this is an active working farm.
